Why Menopause Support at Work Matters

Supporting menopause in the workplace is becoming a business and compliance priority.

Workplace expectations are shifting. Employers are expected to take a more proactive, structured approach, not just respond when issues arise.

Recent UK employment developments (2026–2027) are reinforcing this, with greater focus on:

  • Supporting menopause as part of workplace wellbeing and equality

  • Training managers to respond early and appropriately

  • Offering reasonable adjustments

  • Taking a preventative approach rather than reacting later

Menopause affects people differently. Symptoms can impact confidence, concentration and day-to-day performance, often without people recognising what’s happening.

This means organisations need to be able to evidence what support looks like in practice, not just have a policy in place.

What this course is and who it’s for

This session is designed to help organisations move from awareness to practical, real-world support. It gives people the confidence and tools to recognise menopause, respond early, and support colleagues in a simple, appropriate way.

The session focuses on:

  • Understanding menopause and how it shows up at work

  • Recognising early signs and impact on performance

  • Having supportive, appropriate conversations

  • Knowing when and how to offer adjustments

  • Creating a consistent, structured approach across teams

Who it’s for:

  • Managers and team leaders

  • HR and People teams

  • Wellbeing leads and menopause champions

  • Anyone responsible for supporting employees

Practical tools include: a symptom checker for individuals and a workplace checklist for HR to support action.

Course Feedback

“I recently attended the Menopause Champion training and was so impressed with the knowledge of the trainer Amanda, the content was informative and easy to follow, and the breakout sessions were a great opportunity for the groups to share their own experiences. Feel well equipped to support my peers, colleagues, even family and friends.”
